POLICY ON U.S. TRADE ASSOCIATION AND LOBBY ENGAGEMENT
Huntsman may engage in advocacy from time to time on key issues that have an impact on our company and/or more broadly the chemical industry and is committed to complying with all applicable laws related to those activities, including relevant U.S. federal, state, and local lobbying disclosure laws and regulations. The Company and its associates lawfully engage in advocacy directly and indirectly through recognized trade and other business associations.
The Company is an active member of certain trade and business associations that represent our industry or the markets we serve. While our views may not always align fully with all positions taken by those associations, we believe it is nonetheless important to be involved to ensure our perspectives are adequately represented and, where appropriate, communicated to relevant policy and decision-makers.
Huntsman is provided information from its U.S. trade associations regarding the portion of our dues that are used for lobbying expenses. This information is included in our quarterly lobbying activity reports filed with the U.S. Congress, as required by the Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA). Memberships in and contributions to U.S. trade associations are reported annually to the Company’s Board of Directors and posted to the Company’s website.
