Huntsman to Present, Showcase New Technologies at FEIPLAR COMPOSITES & FEIPUR 2014

SÃO PAULO, Brazil – Huntsman Corporation (NYSE: HUN) will be sponsoring, exhibiting and participating in the FEIPLAR COMPOSITES & FEIPUR 2014 Exhibition from November 11-13 at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, Brazil.

The eighth annual FEIPLAR COMPOSITES & FEIPUR Exhibition is the largest composites, polyurethanes and engineered plastics event in Brazil. More than 15,000 visitors and 300 exhibitors from across Brazil and Latin America are expected to attend.

Huntsman’s Advanced Materials, Performance Products and Polyurethanes divisions will showcase their cutting-edge technologies at Stand #B15 during all three days of the event.

“Huntsman is proud to celebrate its 20th anniversary in Brazil as a sponsor, presenter and exhibitor of the FEIPLAR COMPOSITES & FEIPUR Exhibition,” said Roberto Kirschner, South America Director, Huntsman Performance Products. “At our stand, we will be showcasing multiple custom-based solutions for our customers.”

Huntsman solutions and technologies on display include ARALDITE® resins for high-performance composites, such as multifunctional epoxy resins, benzoxazine and bismaleimides; JEFFCAT® Low Emission Amine Catalysts; and TEROL® Performance Polyols for thermal insulation applications.

Additionally, Huntsman will be promoting its new research and development facility to support growth in the region. “We look forward to bringing even more custom products to Brazil and the surrounding markets through our research and development efforts at our new São Paulo Advanced Technological Centre (ATC) and at our Taboão da Serra manufacturing site,” said Wellington Bonifácio, South America Director, Huntsman Advanced Materials.

The new four-story, 1500-square-meter São Paulo Advanced Technological Centre is used by four Huntsman divisions – Advanced Materials, Performance Products, Polyurethanes and Textile Effects – to conduct application research and development.

Huntsman Polyurethanes is also announcing the inauguration of its state-of-the-art machine hall, which is located adjacent to the ATC site. “This machine hall will allow the Polyurethanes division to simulate customer processes and applications to develop tailor-made technologies in the polyurethanes markets,” said Luis Mendonça, Business Director, Huntsman Polyurethanes.
