THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Huntsman Corporation (NYSE: HUN) announced that its Polyurethanes division will be sponsoring and participating in several conference tracks at The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry’s (CPI) Polyurethanes 2017 Technical Conference, taking place Oct. 2 – 4 at the JW Marriott in New Orleans.
Keith Day, Executive Consultant and retired Vice President for Innovation and Technology, Huntsman Polyurethanes and current Chair of the CPI Steering Committee, will participate in the opening address. Additionally, members of Huntsman Polyurethanes and Huntsman Performance Products will participate in five presentations during the event.

Additionally, Huntsman Polyurethanes will showcase its continuous commitment to product stewardship, handing out the updated “2017-2018 Huntsman Polyurethanes-Americas: Safe Handling and Use Toolkit” at display #216 in the exhibit hall, during all three days of the event.
“We are looking forward to participating in many aspects of this year’s conference, most importantly, sharing our product advancements and industry knowledge with other professionals in the polyurethanes space,” said Steve Burns, Vice President - Americas. “CPI is the biggest polyurethanes conference in the Americas and a go-to event to learn about the industry’s latest technologies and best practices.”
Huntsman will also be sponsoring the EHS track and co-sponsoring the industry reception on Monday, Oct. 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
This year will mark the 60th anniversary of the CPI conference and is expected to draw more than 1,000 industry professionals to New Orleans. The purpose of the event is to bring together industry leaders and experts from around the world to discuss and learn about the latest innovations and creative applications for polyurethane.
In February 2017, Huntsman Corp. joined the American Chemistry Council (ACC), the parent organization to CPI.
