Nama Chemicals and Huntsman Announce Strategic Alliance in the European Coatings Market

Basel, 13 October 2015 - Nama Chemicals Corporation (NAMA: Saudi Arabia) and Huntsman Corporation (NYSE: HUN) today announced a strategic agreement to sell Solid Epoxy Resins for powder, can and coil coating markets in Europe under Huntsman’s ARALDITE® brand.

With immediate effect, the strategic agreement will combine the joint strengths and experience of the two companies to ensure a sustainable and competitive offering for  coatings customers across the European region.

Merging JANA’s manufacturing excellence with Huntsman’s product and market expertise, as expressed through the well-known ARALDITE® brand, the alliance will be based on existing Huntsman-licensed epoxy technology, which JANA has been using in its manufacturing processes since the early 1990’s.

Commenting on the agreement, Scott Wright, Vice President, Huntsman Advanced Materials, Europe said, “This alliance will further strengthen our overall offering to the coatings industry in Europe. JANA-manufactured solid epoxy resins, in combination with Huntsman produced curing agents, other resins and additives, will deliver added value to our customers in Europe.”
