Huntsman to Show Where Beauty Begins at in-cosmetics 2013
This April a team of experts from Huntsman Corporation will travel to in-cosmetics in Paris to help demonstrate to formulators where beauty begins – with a selection of reliable ingredients that can help enhance personal care and wellbeing in all its many forms.
Huntsman is one of the leading global suppliers to the beauty and personal care industry, developing and manufacturing speciality chemicals that the world’s biggest cosmetic companies use to deliver well-known, high performing, top-selling products.
At in-cosmetics the company’s personal care specialists will be on hand to discuss the special effects its ingredients can deliver, including;
• Glycerine carbonates – employed to reduce alcohol levels in perfume and increase the fix of a fragrance onto the skin
• Maleic anhydride – a versatile intermediate used as a building block for toothpastes, sunscreens and hairspray formulations
• Surfactants – used as wetting, thickening and stabilizing agents in a range of bath preparations
• TIOXIDE® Purity73 pigment – a pure, dry milled, anatase pigment used to achieve outstanding color and covering power in a broad variety of personal care products such as foundations and blushers
Reflecting the company’s ‘We Care’ philosophy the team will also discuss options available to cosmetic manufacturers looking to produce hair, body and skin care products free from ethylene oxide (EO), sulfate and silicone. The company has a range of “free-from” consumer products based on sustainable, naturally derived feedstocks.
Barbara Furlotti, Beauty and Personal Care manager at Huntsman Performance Products said: “When it comes to the manufacture of beauty and personal care products, formulators know that the choices they make when sourcing ingredients can make or break the success of a product. That’s why so many of them head to in-cosmetics, year in, year out. With consumer health, comfort and satisfaction in mind at all times, we are committed to the development of chemistries that work hand in hand with our customers’ formulations. We look forward to another successful in-cosmetics show.”
